The promise, a few days ago, of a warm(ish) and sunny(kind of) evening has deteriorated into a forecast of cloud and wind (but no rain). Well, that’s good enough? A few of us expect to make it. Avalanche Wall area unless the wind sends us into hiding somewhere further along.

There’s always the Pub to look forward to. The Bridge in Calver, although newly refurbished, does not open on Tuesdays. I’m pretty sure the Moon in Stoney Middleton does though. The prices for food look a little high but the quality and portions were good enough to make up for it (based on my experience from last year). If you stay out on the crag until beyond last food orders then obviously the weather was perfect.

It would be appropriate to declare that there has been some attrition in enthusiasm, chiefly attributable to the precipitation, and the wind is a little stiff, and….

    So, perhaps not then?
