The meet this year is to the Aosta Valley; through the Mont Blanc tunnel and then less than an hours drive into Italy. The campsite is close to Aosta at 600m above sea level, so should be warm. We will be camping at Camping Monte Bianco (well named as its got easy access to the Mont Blanc range via the fantastic new cable car at Courmayeur, which goes direct to the snowline and Torino Hut). For big mountains, I wouldn’t mind a re-match with the Grand Paradiso (4061m). There appears to be a train station near to the camp site (if it is open) and it seems to go as far as Pre-St-Didier, (about a mile from Courmayeur). It might be handy if cars/vans aren’t available sometimes(?) It looks like there’s some rafting places in the valley too.
