Do you want me to put something on Facebook pointing to this post?
I’ve just been doing the maths – 80% of the club are either on FB themselves or have a joint member who is.

I’m told there are well over 50% of places taken for this.

Get going if you want a place.

Any financial issues paying up immediately talk to Andrew and he’ll see of there’s anything he can do. But do get going if you want a spot.

Teaser Number 2 – WHO WILL LIFT THE TROPHY?

Get to the Roaches Tea Room in time to form/reorganise and register your team. You can set off at any time from 10.15am and you must be back for 4.30 or you’ll begin to haemorrhage points….

Did I say you’ll have a week to work out a plan? Chairman’s prerogative – think of it as your first challenge.

The Scoring Rules and marking sheet is here.

Please print out a copy to bring with you – each team needs one to keep score and hand in. Spares may or may not be available on the day.

You’re free to organise a team before you get there but please be willing to rejig your plans to accommodate anyone who hasn’t done that – this is a sociable event (as well as a cut-throat competition – obviously)

The Cafe opens at 9am if you want to grab breakfast before you go or make last minute personnel and weather dependant changes to your scheme.

Who will lift the trophy? Will the elders of the club share their bonus status or group together in a clique? Will Emily Landale and Sue Street band together for a frightening headstart? Have we finally found a point to the existance of children???
Or will it be a team taking the purist approach – relying on brilliance, fitness and climbing ability?

    Glory awaits…..

Looking forward to this Dan. We won’t sign up for a space until nearer the time in case it’s popular as I think it should be. We can either bivvy or stay at home given we live so near. If there are spaces we’ll take 1 or more likely 2.

If you’re up for this or were planning to come and haven’t told anyone can you let me know? Dan’s currently in bed with COVID and it was his meet.

You can ring/text me (number in the members’ area) or leave a message here or email me.

Been having a bit of a nightmare sourcing a campsite – The fields are used for Sheep until May where we had planned!

Think Jonathan has found an alternative so will let you know asap.

Log splitter would always be welcome I would think.
Fireworks all in order I am told. Purchased and setter-offers assigned duties.

I’m not sure we have anyone currently assigned to sort and light the fire. Dan Stone is in charge of the meet.

We’re planning to pitch at Sampson Stones – bit quieter than the Woolworth Boulder we think and still with great access to the crag.

Whilst there’s no need to tell me you’re coming, it would be great to have some idea there will be someone there so drop me a line!

The day is fixed for 27 March. It will be at the Bamford Institute and probably in the afternoon although the time is not yet certain.

If you want to send me contributions of memories and stories and thoughts then you can email me them kwbeswick@gmail.com or you can leave them here on the forum.

I’ve had 2 volunteers to speak at the celebration and I’ll pass on anything to them and to the celebrant.
