The start and finish is near the Robin Hood pub in Rainow on the B5470 between Macclesfield and Whaley Bridge. The weather forecast this weekend is a bit rubbish for climbing so perfect for running.
The start time is 11:00am so that the speedy can cool down slightly before getting a pint in the pub when is opens as 12:00pm and the rest can go straight in.
I will be there from 10:30am to give out maps of the route and punch cards. There will be four check points on route to make sure that you don’t get too far astray. Just punch the card at the checkpoint and run on to the next.
The route will take you along 8km of varied paths above the village. It has been raining a lot recently so expect some of the fields to be muddy with large puddles.
As is traditional a handicap system will be in place to make the trophy achievable for all entrants. The first to finish will not necessarily take home the cup.
