Some ex Abertystwyth uni students have just returned from a week on Lundy and posted a link to their blog on UKC. Especially for those climbing in the mortals grades (thats def. me) there are some nice pics and route tips.

Thought it might be of interest to anyone going, or anyone whose been!

This is excellent – are all the routes really hard for the grade ???

“Hard for the grade?” Certainly not and some would argue the opposite. But, the overall experience of walking to the cliff-top, finding the descent, finding the bottom of the route, etc. can leave your normal reserves of what to expect of a particular grade a little out of kilter. It’ll leave you feeling physically (and mentally) knackered every day (especially if its windy) so by the end of the week you might think VSs are E-something-or-another. A rest day or even two (remember we’ll have 8 climbing days albeit two of them a little short) are not a completely bad idea but if the sun keeps shining you’ll find it hard to resist!
