    Date: 14th-16th June
    Venue: Blaen Y Nant, Crafnant

All members very welcome on this meet but a particular invitation to our newer members over the last year or two or those thinking of joining the club. Its a chance to check out our wonderful hut in, arguably, the most beautiful location in North Wales, meet other new and current members and get out and walk, scramble or climb. We will have a social BBQ in the garden on the Saturday night, bring your own food to cook, BBQ supplied (with a separate one for non meat).

Weather permitting, the plan is to climb on at least one day in the Crafnant valley. The club used to be pretty active climbing in the valley (and wrote and published the guidebook) but have got out of the habit in recent years. The new Carneddau area guidebook (which will include Crafnant) is in preparation and some of the guidebook team have climbed recently on Forestry buttress, and report cleaning some routes and gardening the approach but a pair or two of secateurs and hold cleaning brushes may be handy. We will have some spare ropes in case bits of abseil cleaning are needed. Should be fun.

There is sure to be groups out walking as well and fit mountain bikers can do the Marin Trail from the hut. Families are always welcome at BYN. Dogs are welcome in the lounge and downstairs hall but please not in the kitchen or upstairs in the bedrooms.

If you want to know more about Blaen Y Nant, check out the Mynydd website. Any questions, feel free to contact me or Jules Lane. It would be good to have a rough idea of who is coming for planning puposes.

    See you there !
