“GR 010 761 West of a culvert at a sharp bend in the track 2 feet above water level. Drop down to the west of the track to find the culvert”

OK we found the sharp bend with the culvert under, dropped to the west but could we find the carving? If you found it please put us out of our misery by telling us where it was.

Other than that a fun day out – thanks Sue

Three of us spent some time by the culvert and couldn’t find it, although I have seen photographic evidence of its existence!

The culvert we were at didn’t have an arch – it was a drain pipe buried under the track are there 2

I can see a trip to the Goyt looming!

There is a rumour that someone who I won’t name (Ian) ‘accidently’ covered up one of the carvings with moss and leaves. The next team (Trish, Penny and Eli) eventually uncovered the carving and then left it as they found it.

Glad you enjoyed the day regardless.

Sorry Andy, buried pipe is more accurate. Arch was just me being fancy.
