The membership period is 1st January to 31st December. The club has 3 types of members – Aspirant, Full and Honorary
Aspirant Member: After coming out with us informally a few times new members first join as an “Aspirant”. This allows you to join the club at a reduced rate for the first year only. The idea is that you attend a few (or a lot of) meets and get to know other club members before becoming a full member.
Standard Aspirant Membership rates are as follows:
£28 if joining before 1st July
£16 if joining between 1st July and 1st October
£44 if joining after 31st September with membership valid until end of the following year
Discounted Aspirant Membership rates (unemployed, furloughed or full time student) are as follows:
£23 if joining before 1st July
£11 if joining between 1st July and 1st October
£39 if joining after 31st September with membership valid until end of the following year
Full Member: If you decide you like us after a year as an aspirant, please then renew as a Full member using the email from firstname.lastname@example.org containing a link to your personalised (i.e. pre-filled) renewal form.
If you do not receive an email please let Jules know at email@example.com. As a last resort (e.g. if your email is broken) use the generic form below.
In order to comply with GDPR regulations, all existing full members (including honorary members) should also complete the renewal form by the end December of each year. For joint memberships, both members should complete the form, although of course only one should pay the joint membership fee.
Current Standard Full Member joining / renewal rates are:
Individual Member – £38
Joint Members (2 people at same address) – £66
Honorary Member – free
Current Discounted Full Member joining / renewal rates (unemployed, furloughed or full time student) are:
Individual Member – £32
Joint Members (2 people at same address) – £60 (one discounted)
Joint Members (2 people at same address) – £54 (both discounted)
Renewals are due by 1st January. Note that overdue subscriptions invalidate the individual’s BMC insurance cover until paid. If you don’t want to renew, please just let the membership secretary know.
