Just to say a big thanks to all who came forward with their support for my fund raising venture for Stroke Association which our team did last weekend.The night- time eather was superb with a great full moon over the Wicklow hills and the event was good fun.While the whole course was 27km, we were forced to stop at the second checkpoint after a gruelling second leg over the tops as we were officially ‘timed out’ having completed around 15kM- only a little bit dissapointing but probably the best outcome since none of us were looking forward to another 12km. In all we will have raised around £2000 for Stroke as well as 300 euros for localMountain Rescue, so a good result,
Well done Steve! … both for completing 15km (fantastic!) and for raising so much for two good charities.
Great weekend. Very friendly people. Good Crack and music.
Congratulations to the team for completing the major difficulties, reaching the lakeside stroll home before being caught by the sweepers.
