A reminder about the Borrowdale meet happening in a couple of weeks. There is still room for a few more.
It’s at the K Fellfarers Hut, High House, at Seathwaite for the weekend. Obviously it will be a glorious early spring weekend, with climbing to had in the Borrowdale Valley. We are within walking distance of Gillercombe Crag (important for those of us with Go For It challenges involving new crags), and a mass ascent of Napes Needle may also be an option. There are bridleways aplenty for mountain bikers, plus the bike park at Whinlatter, which sources close to me say is “not bad”. I believe there’s also quite a bit of walking to be had around there too. If that’s not enough enticement, there may be some chocolate mousse for attendees on the Saturday night.
Cost for the weekend will be around £15 per person (may be less if we can fill the place) – drop me an email (webmasterATmynydd.org.uk will do it) to book your place. There are 26 beds in two dormitories, and all mod cons.
