    Repost & update:

A while ago, the President of the Mynydd Climbing Club, Colin Foord, devised a ‘challenge road bike’ ride around North Wales, starting from their climbing club hut, Blean-y-Nant (Trefrew). No-one has yet completed this circuit.

There are a number of good cyclists in the Mynydd Climbing Club, so I though it might be a good idea to arrange a mixed club weekend between the Mynycc CC and Macclesfield Wheelers where we attempt this challenging ride, in a non-competitive (!) manor, as a single group (or not).

Date: weekend of Sept 6/7th 2014
    Location: Blean-y-Nant, Trefrew, North Wales
Cost: £9 for per night accommodation only, Mynydd member price will be at member rates + food etc.

I’ve booked ByN for Saturday night only (it’s full Fri night), so you either camp in the field Fri night or travel up on Saturday morning.

The ride starts at 10am on Saturday morning.
There will be options to cut the route short if you don’t wish to complete the whole ride.

If you’re interested in coming, but not riding, come anyway and arrange your own ride/walk/climb/doss..

Oh, there are also a number of good musicians in the Mynydd CC – so that might be interesting, if we get the usual MW musical crowd to come…

Cross posted from Macclesfield Wheelers forum:

I’m getting a fair bit of interest for this weekend from the Mynydd Climbing Club Members…
So come on Macc Wheelers, who’s joining me to show them we’re not afraid of a few hills?

If you’re lucky the climbing club might take you hill walking on the Sunday too.
