One of the planned 2 Aug Bank Holiday day meets will be Clywd Limestone. Does anyone have a copy of the 2005 Clwyd Limestone Guidebook (http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/book.php?id=134) I could borrow, or any suggestions of a crag to target. I am thinking about;
– the Horseshoe Pass area, N of Llangollen – e.g. Craig-y-Forwen / Worlds End (http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=422) or
– the other Craig y Forwen (no dashes – http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=1387). According to UKC it is possible to climb here now and even to park, only one section is banned and that still leaves lots to go at elsewhere.

First of all I think we might be able to help out on a book – we have two Clywd limestone Rockfax on the book shelves – good price to a good home!
Not been to your second suggested crag but been to Worlds End once – the grades felt nails but that could be more to do with me than the crag. Pinfold is another good option with a variety of grades and a few classics. Some of the quarries are good (e.g. Maeshafn) though popular routes are polished.What about the new guidebook Jules – http://northwaleslimestone.com/
