The New Year walk is on Sunday 4th January from Edale. Weather permitting, we’ll stroll around the southern edge of Kinder.
The plan is to start the walk after arrival (1008) of the 0951 from New Mills Central (via Chinley 0959) and the 0914 from Sheffield (Hathersage 0933). We will (hopefully !) complete the walk and have time for some post walk refreshment in time for the Western team to catch the 1548 back to New Mills, giving the Eastern team more refreshment time (or a less stressed final part of the walk….) prior to catching the 1627 back East.
For those driving, meet outside the Village Hall in the main Edale Pay & Display carpark for a 1015 start. Apologies, I put ‘National Trust Centre’ as the meet point in the journal and in the meets part of the website, it is of course the Village Hall on the edge of the car park.
