For those who knew him, Paul’s funeral is at 2pm on Mon 11th at Hutcliffe Crematorium, S8 0HP, and afterwards at the Cressbrook Club.

This is sad news.
I did my first ever climb (winter or summer) with Paul on a Mynydd winter meet in Feb ’84 – South Post on Meagaidh. He hadn’t believed me that I was entirely inexperienced, until I asked him how to tie in at the bottom….
He also belayed me on my first ever lead – Calvi Corner in Cheedale, a few months later.
I’ll be going along.
