In the summer, some lovely Mynydd friends and I did the Cnicht and Moelwyn Mawr round. It was fabulous and definately worth repeating with a bigger crowd.
Meet at the free National Car Park in the village of Croesor (SH632447) at 10 for 10.30. We will proceed at a leisurely pace as befitting tired, emotional and hung-over members. There’s a short cut back from Bwelch Rhosydd which makes a 6.5 mile (500m ascent) walk or people can continue and achieve the full 7.5 miles (750m ascent).
There is a cafe at the car park which was magnificent in July. Don’t get excited though, I hear its shut in the winter. Bring a tenner just in case and the usual butties etc (feel free to also bring pain killers and a snifter if required).
