    Hi all,
The Summer Meet will take place in the Austrian Alps this year, from 12th July until 2nd August. I have set up a WhatsApp group for everyone interested, please join this group for the latest information and discussions.

If you are not on WhatsApp please let me know by reply on here or by email that you are interested and with how many people + tent/van you will travel.

My preferred location and campsite of the Oetztal has been booked up already, since last summer it seems demand is high! I am searching for an alternative and an idea of numbers/spaces needed will be very helpful!

Any other recommendations are also welcome!

    Many thanks,
    Melanie

    Hi all,

Good news we have a campsite confirmed for the Summer Meet! The Meet will take place from 12th July until 2nd August at the National Camping in Kals, at the foot of the Gross Glockner.

The Mynydd visited this site on 2019 and I received a lot of good feedback!

There is plenty to do for everyone:

Hiking: the Glockner and Venediger Gruppe are easily reachable, with plenty of day walks and huts.

Via Ferrata and rock climbing: The Lienzer Dolomiten are not far away and have plenty of via ferratas (Klettersteige) and single/multi pitch rock climbing. Here is a site with more info.

Mountaineering: Both Gross Glockner and Gross Venediger are big objectives. But there are plenty of other peaks in the area too!

I will bring some guidebooks, I have the via ferrata guide to Austria and a day hiking guide to the area.

There is no need to book anything online. We have a field booked for the Mynydd and you can register on arrival.

If you decide to come along and are not already in the WhatsApp group please do let me know, who is travelling and when, so I can keep track.

    Many thanks,
    Mel
