The fell race will take place next Sunday 22nd November from Taxal layby on Long Hill, near Whaley Bridge. Grid ref 008 798. 6.7 miles of valley, hill and moor along the Goyt and up to Windgather and back.
Runners gather at 10:45 for 11am start,. The complex handicap system has been devised – no last minute bribery allowed (see Paul’s article in the Journal!)
Walkers meet at 10:15 for 10:30 start.
Maps and detailed description provided.
I will be in the car park in red campervan and we may have the use of the Goyt Valley Striders event tent.
Prize-giving at the Shady Oak, Fernilee where I have reserved the lefthand part of the bar. They do meals and chips.
