Hope no-one minds me posting – Colin and Pam suggested last year that I advertised on the forum this year, so hopefully this might be of interest to a few people – sorry for late notice, only confirmed very last minute this recital could definitely go ahead!
If anyone is not in the Dolomites, not going climbing, and is keen for an hour of music tonight, the pianist Jemima Palfreyman and I are performing in the Buxton Festival Fringe, giving a recital at St John’s Church, Buxton, at 7pm. Our programme ranges from César Franck’s Sonata in A major to Peter McGarr’s Pennine-inspired ghost story ‘Rare Dawn’ – come and hear me imitate the sound of a WW2 ghost-plane flying low over the Pennine hills at dawn! Tickets £5 on the door.
