Thanks to Liz and Dave for sorting out such a splendid Full Moon route. The clouds made interesting skies; there was adventure and a spirit of daring-do. Brilliant evening had by all.

Forgot to mention. You’ll need £4 for the carpark (although it might be free if you’re a high peak resident?)

MEET AT THE CARPARK IN HAYFIELD Grid ref. SK036 869 FOR 10:00. THE PLAN IS FOR A FAIRLY PROMPT START.

Wherever we go (there are 2 options depending on who turns up and how little their legs are) gaiters would be a sound idea as would wellingtons for children too big to carry. Also I didn’t have gloves (because I never need them) and really really wished I had. There’s likely to be snow on the ground and on the longer option the wind might be fun.

Thanks for the details Abi. I’ll be there. Unfortunately Jonathan is in Scotland.

I’m not going to Coniston – the meet also coincides with Halloween and I will be required for Trick or Treat duties. If those going to Coniston would prefer, I’m happy to move the walk to the 8th.

I’ll do it Sue – I was going to offer anyway. Some help with the route planning would be very appreciated – Could I come over with Henry during the day next week?
