OK Rachael I’ll add you to the subs bench.
BTW the sea cliffs are greywacke*, not granite. There is granite inland at Clifton and in them thar hills.
*and I have no idea what greywacke is like to climb on!
So far the roll of honour includes (in no special order) –
Richard, Maria, Chris M., Alan B., Jim, Val, Derek, the Hardys and a friend of ours Hilary R. (known by some already in the Mynydd)Pam and Colin F. will be attending if the stars line up. Liz and Dave are also on the possibles list and Jules is havering.
We need a few more bodies to achieve that critical mass whereby going to the loo takes 15 minutes because of all the people to say hello to on the way, and plans become exponentially more complex. This is known as the Faff Event Horizon and the Mynydd are unusually well adapted for survival in this normally difficult environment.
As a further enticement, for those of a sybaritic nature I should have pointed out that the campsite has some wooden wigwams, suitable for grade II glamping (I don’t think there’s a hot tub attached to them or they would be grade I)
I’ve never climbed at Dovestones Tor – I think it was on the list a couple of years back but I was working away and couldn’t make it.
Just to make sure you can make it Dan, when does your term end?, and are you going on the Alpine meet?
Shooters Nab! not been there since I was a student! I will check on access…As for a great evening crag – it faces north (unless I’m having a senior moment)
Wharncliffe – good call – we could go mountain biking if the weather turns out poo! Any other crags which you can get to that would be a feasible Tuesday night? They dont have to be in the peak, just accessible from the west

Assuming I* can work out how to edit the calendar and there aren’t howls of protest on this forum I’ll be carrying on Richard’s scheme from December. To make life simple for everyone I* will post up 2 events for each Tuesday, 1 for East and 1 for West. On full moon Tuesdays there’ll only be one game in (or, more accurately, out of) town.
Hope that’s clear!
* obviously I reserve the right to substitute a more gifted computer technician if necessary

The culvert we were at didn’t have an arch – it was a drain pipe buried under the track are there 2
