Jules LaneParticipant
I am hoping to make a group booking with the campsite later this week if you’ve not already told me and would like to be included at this early stage please shout.
Jules LaneParticipantPlease note that you only need to sign up to Go Cardless once. So if you’ve already done that no need to do it again.
Jules LaneParticipantThat’s us booked (but only from Thurs 5th)
JulesJules LaneParticipantHeather, I think as long as you’ve each done the form above once you’re fine. Just email meets.mynydd@gmail.com to ensure he knows who attended.
Jules LaneParticipantNote that if you try to book on the website it looks like very few sailings on Friday 23rd are available. I just phoned and booked on the 15.20 (for £48 return) and apparently they are almost all available ! 0800 066 5000.

Jules LaneParticipantWe’ll probably arrive mid afternoon Friday if anyone fancies a dog walk then..
Jules LaneParticipantDave – Liane and I will be coming in the van with the dog.
Jules LaneParticipantJust made my booking for 13th to 20th April. For 2 of us and the dog in a van with hook-up its 27pn = £189 for 7 nights with a £53 deposit payable now. You can get the 8th night free so actually we can stay until Sunday 21st if we wish at no extra cost. The ‘wild camping’ area looks nice so if others coming in tin tents might like to book in there also it would be great.
Jules LaneParticipantI just called and spoke to a nice lady. With a dog in a van we would have to go in the wild camping area – which isn’t that wild as it has hookups and actually looks nice. No mention of any special dog rules.. Anyone else taking a van rather than booking a static ?
Jules LaneParticipantFurther info from the BMC, who asked me to pass this on to all members.
We’re asking all BMC members to vote on our new constitution, and every vote really does count, as we need 75% of the votes to move forward. The BMC has been our nationally-recognised umbrella organisation for over 75 years; it has also evolved over that period and will need to evolve further to remain relevant to the ever-changing demographic and range of activities of our membership. Option A provides a continuation of this evolutionary process, is forward looking, is packed with safeguards to protect the interests of all our members, improves the democratic process, and looks to involve clubs at the highest level.
We would appreciate it if you could recommend to your club members to vote for option A because it will help us to continue to provide you with valuable support.
Some members might be asking what they get from the BMC — here are just some of the direct benefits, many of which are funded by Sport England.
Discounted skills training courses: especially for club members. These courses help club members with skills training, first aid, rescue techniques, and how to take new and novice club members out.
Discounted officer training courses: especially for club committee members. These Training Days, Clubs Seminars, and Student Safety Seminars support club committee members with running the club network.
Our Clubs Officer: funded by Sport England and supports all BMC clubs with a focus on how we can help new and existing clubs grow.
Advice and resources: liability insurance for clubs; specialist guidelines; advice on legislation, child protection and GDPR.
BMC TV: was set up with Sport England funding. This created a library of skills films, short festival entries and the multi-award-winning Operation Moffat. Without Sport England funding, very few of these films would have been made, and we are applying for continued funding for more skills films. How to vote
All BMC members have been emailed a personal code to vote. Check your email (and spam filter). If you haven’t got the email, fill in the form here: https://intouch.thebmc.co.uk/bmc-agm/More info
Find out more about the AGM, the options and the voting here: https://intouch.thebmc.co.uk/bmc-agm/BMC Clubs & Huts Seminar
The BMC Clubs and Huts Seminar will be taking place on Saturday 16th June (before the AGM) in Kendal. To find out more and register for your place please go to http://www.thebmc.co.uk/bmc-clubs-seminar-2018
Thanks for your support.

Jules LaneParticipantHi folks
I seems that the Pitton Cross campsite is now full for the May BH weekend. I am aware of me, Colin and Kym, Derek and Val and David and Abi booked there so far, so we’ll need an overflow site.
For this can I suggest you book in at Oxwich Camping, which has room and is £19 pn for a campervan and less for a small tent. I think you need to phone to book on 01792 390777. Dave and Liz are booked already and will provide tea and cakes on arrival. Maybe.
If this is no good for some reason there are lots of others as listed here. Hopefully we can co-ordinate activities by phone across the 2 sites.

Jules LaneParticipantOK Jon – perhaps I wasn’t quite as clear as I meant to be. What I meant to say was.
As a little test – please check this message via the Facebook feed page on this website, via the Discussion / Facebook page from the menu bar above. Soz.
Jules LaneParticipantOn the music front it would be useful to know who is planning to bring an instrument. Also, if you want to get a bit of advance prep in we are considering starting with Hotel California by The Eagles and Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. Both have a nice simple structure but enough variety for the virtuoso’s to play around. WYWH has a lovely melody line too.
Jules LaneParticipantAnd also – please let me and Richard know so that we can track who has and who has not renewed.
Jules LaneParticipantNote that club account details are on the Membership page (Under the ‘About the Mynydd’ menu option above).
