Gear sale update; the bouldering mat, yellow alien and OMM sac have all gone but I still have size 43 Sportiva Nepal Evo mountain boots in perfect condition (surely the gold standard for Scottish winter/ alpine mixed of the current era)and priced at £175 (half new price), Salomon X-mountain 175cm mountain skis with Fritschi Diamir bindings, a few years old but in great condition with good edges; £90 including harchissen and option to include Black Diamond skins for a small extra cost, POD Black Ice 55 litre alpine sac is £60 (unused).
Dovestones Tor on Derwent Edge;-a great place to be on a warm summers evening, experience the jug hauling on Great Buttress or just to experience the views on the the approach walk… orleave the gear behind and have a run, fantastic Barbie potential and all within range of the Strines Inn on the way back- what’s not to like?
Boots are size 43,excellent nick, just a couple of years use,DMM Fly ice hammer;technical/ all round use, as in the ad email me for more details- I don’t check on here everyday.

Pete’s lecture; ‘beards, Bagels, and big walling’ will tell thetory of his recent trip to Yosemite, where he apparently blitzed some great routes in true Whittaker/ Randall style- promises to be a great night with pictures from his summer assault on all the Brown-Whillans routes in the Peak in a day (used as a warm-up for the states), plus tales of the legendary Century Crack! make sure you don’t miss this one!
